Deep down, somehow you have always known that you are different. You feel bound and restless in the 9 to 5 corporate jobs, power suits, and boardroom presentations. You want to do something that comes deep from your heart and that resonates with your spiritual values and soul’s purpose. But you might not be sure how you can build and run a business that fulfills your spiritual purpose and make money at the same time. Or, you are afraid that money and profit would corrode the spiritual and ethical values behind your work.
Consequently, these conflicting and confusing thoughts make you hide your inner light in the shadows. But you should know that their hidden beliefs and thought patterns can deeply impact your heart-centered, soul-aligned, spiritual business and its money-making potential in a positive or negative way. Whether you want to start your spiritual business or are in the middle of the journey and are somewhat conflicted and lost, here are some of the aspects that would help you evolve a totally soul-aligned and yet financially viable business:
Acknowledge and Embrace Who You Are
Before you start any business, you need to discover your soul’s blue print and your soul’s attributes. There are times you are unable to relate with the conventional entrepreneurs who are selling useful products and services and feel like an outsider or imposter in the clique. As a spiritual inclined woman struggling financially and socially, you keep asking: “What’s wrong with me? Why I am not savvy with money like other business women? Why do I keep giving my time and energy to people and getting frustrated in the process?” What you need to accept is that you are not just like every other entrepreneur and your soul has attributes that you need to understand, get comfortable with and bring into the world. Here is how you are different from other entrepreneurs as a mystic and soul-inclined one:
You want to bring love, healing and wholesomeness to people through your work.
You are not all about profit: you value relationships; you uphold old world values of trust, honor, commitment and love and ingrain them in your work.
You don’t exploit their needs people’s pain and needs. Their success is your success.
You put people before profit. You don’t attempt to monetize everything and give away many things of value for free.
Discovering your inner blueprint would help you align your business in accordance to your soul’s deepest attributes and evolve it spiritually.
Strike a Balance between the Spiritual and the Material; Soul and the Substance
You may think or are made to believe you cannot and should not make money from a soul-based, spiritually- inclined business, or that spirituality and financial success are opposite to each other. In order to evolve and thrive as a spiritual entrepreneur, you need to let go of your conventional and outdated belief systems surrounding the union of money and spirituality and
build a personal brand and business that is hearted-centered, aligned with your passion and soul and, at the same time, materially successful and sustainable. The better you are able to understand your soul’s blueprint, balance the spiritual aspect with the material one, add soul to it as well as substance, the more financially successful you and your business will be.
Get Comfortable with the Notion of Purposeful Making Money
A heart-centered business needs to survive just like any business. You need money to keep even the most modest shoestring business, keep your website up and have the internet and phone running. Your business needs to make profit in order to sustain itself, thrive and help you maintain a familiar, comfortable and yet exciting lifestyle. There is nothing wrong when you are being able to make money by doing something you love, expressing your unique creative gifts and talents, sharing it with others, and getting compensated handsomely for your work.
Now, a spiritual entrepreneur is not making money or creating wealth consciously out of greed or vested self-interest or by manipulating others. This is how it works: the more money you are able to earn, the more people you would be able to reach, the more resources you would be able to gather and tap into, the more causes you are going to support, the more collective issues and problems you are going to address.
I personally believe that through conscious wealth creation, spiritual entrepreneurs can make a big impact to the world, end poverty, inequality and injustice and leave behind a legacy.
