Growing up, Catasha's experience with sex education left her feeling uninformed and unprepared. "I remember the Sex Ed class I had in 8th grade. They talked about periods and gave us deodorant. That didn't exactly introduce me to bodily autonomy, pleasure, and safety," she said. Determined to make a difference, she founded Expression Over Repression and became a certified sexuality educator. Catasha emphasizes the importance of incorporating a holistic approach to sex education, treating the whole person rather than just the physical symptoms.

In addition to her work as an educator and author, Catasha occasionally dabbles in custom BDSM builds, allowing her to combine her artistic abilities with her work as a sexuality educator. "Everything is an opportunity to teach, and I'm always going to slide in some knowledge while they play. Sometimes, they don't even know they are learning," she said.

Looking toward the future of sexual education, Catasha envisions a world where individuals have access to comprehensive, holistic, and inclusive sexual education. "We should prepare the next generation for a healthy sexual existence. Sex does not have to include so many traumatic experiences, and you don't have to turn it off when the body inevitably changes. You can have a healthy sexual existence well into your 90s if that's what you want. I want more people to choose that life.
