15 Tips - How to Celebrate International Women's Day

“A woman with a voice is by definition a strong woman. But the search to find that voice can be remarkably difficult.” –Melinda Gates

The 8th of March is International Women's Day, and there’s plenty of reason for women around the world to smile. The theme for the 2020 celebrations is #EachforEqual and the global spotlight on equality of the sexes.

International Women's Day 2020

Here are 15 tips on how to celebrate International Women’s Day:

#1 Collaborate to flourish. Partner with women to grow your business and help other women rise in their careers!

#2 Call attention to #BalanceforBetter and create awareness by posting about it on social media.

#3 Diversity is beautiful. Welcome women of diverse cultures into your life without prejudice.

#4 Stretch out your hands, strike the #BalanceforBetter stance and take a picture to show everyone that you are a part of the movement for change.

#5 Embrace your faults. They are what define you. After all, the Earth was created by faultlines!

#6 Tell your life story of overcoming trauma with pride.

#7 Refuse to be a victim of your circumstances.

#8 Provide a work opportunity for an underprivileged woman.

#9 Read a book, listen to a song, or watch a movie created by a female artist.

#9 Represent your heritage. You are beautiful - no matter who you are or where you come from.

#10 Become a member of organizations supporting gender balance.

#11 Refuse to be passive. Stand up to persons who feel women deserve lesser than men in any way.

#12 Challenge one stereotype about women every day.

#13 Treat women in your family and at work with respect and fairness.

#14 Show the world how it’s done. Treat yourself like a queen every single day.

#15 You are the voice of change. Start a dialogue and share views about equality of the sexes with others.
