How To Set, Track and Accomplish Your Goals In 6 Months

According to French poet Antoine De Saint-Exupéry, “a goal without a plan is just a wish.” We may want to conquer the world, but it would not make a difference unless we have a plan. Successful people have always been practical. They understand the difference between dreams and reality and learn to adjust with time. They give a lot of thought before setting their goals and plot their course much ahead. Although that does not guarantee success, your chances of succeeding are much better than those who do not have a plan. Therefore, if you have some goals in mind, you must work towards them. No matter how strong your desire is, your dreams will not come true unless you are consistent in your efforts, dedicated in your approach, and efficient in your application. Here are some tricks that would accelerate your efforts and help you reach your goals within six months.

S.M.A.R.T. Goals

Most often, our goals tend to be vague or unclear. For this reason, goals must be S.M.A.R.T. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-Bound. Your goals must be clearly defined. You must have clarity about everything associated with your goals. This not only increases your odds but makes it look reasonable and justified. The next aspect you must be concerned about is your goal’s measurability. You must have some criteria against which your goals can be evaluated. If not, then you will lose track of your progress. We often tend to go overboard with our dreams. You must test your limits but , at the same time , keep them attainable. Also, there is no shame in accepting that sometimes we may need outside help to succeed. , The last criterion of a SMART goal is its time limitation. Unless you have a time limit, your goal will lose its relevance. It will not make any difference if you achieve something in twenty years when others complete it in five years. Also, approaching your goals in a time-bound manner and prioritizing certain things over others increases the chances of your success.
