Kylie van Luyn: Helping Elevate Your Career

Running a business is no mean feat, and it often becomes stressful to handle all aspects. Most people have business ideas but do not know how to take them forward. Business coaches help owners clarify their vision and determine how it aligns with their personal goals. Under their guidance, business owners can take their entrepreneurial journey from where it is to where they have envisioned it to be in the future. Kylie Van Luyn is a Human Services and Workforce Development Consultant and Business Growth Coach who is furthering leadership development to support individuals and organizations navigate transformation.

Making a Difference

Kylie, a qualified psychotherapist, and Harvard Business School graduate is a champion for those who are less advantaged in society and is on a mission to make a difference. A purpose-driven employment services leader, Kylie has over 13 years of senior leadership experience in the NFP, Vocational Education, and Training and Employment Services sectors. She has worked with refugees, people with disabilities, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and disengaged youth. Her successful record in delivering results within fast-paced human services environments by leveraging her demonstrated capability in developing strategies and robust action plans to achieve the set goals has been recognized and sought after.

Sounding Board

With a strategic mind and person-centric heart, Kylie jumped into entrepreneurship and founded Elevated Coaching and Consulting (ECC) in 2021. Her mission was to support others and guide them in discovering their purpose, step into their greatness, and reach their full potential. As a business growth coach, Kylie brings strong finance and risk management skills, human resource management capabilities, and effective organizational management. She also provides coaching for businesses seeking to grow and transform with her knowledge of workforce development and strategic planning. If you are on an executive team that is struggling with implementing change, then Kylie is the one to look out for!

ECC adopts a strengths-based approach for capacity building and elevating business practices through desirable results. Alongside this, they also provide professional coaching and consulting services to both individuals and businesses. Some of the services that ECC offers include leadership development, strategic business and HR consulting, Empowering Women (a program designed by women for women to empower and help them realize their professional dreams and aspirations), and Mindset Coaching. The company also provides specialist consulting and advisory support for tender/grant writing, project management, program development, and management and staff coaching/mentoring in the employment and social services sector.

Business Transformation

Often, businesses falter due to stagnation, toxic or disengaged culture, and a gross lack of personal approach in the work culture. In hindsight, strategic advice creates a path for tangible results that drive the financial success of an enterprise. While it is normal for a business to plateau at some point due to several factors, what matters is that one has the agency to stimulate change and growth to reach from point A to point B. As a business growth coach, Kylie ensures goals are properly aligned and works with executives and leaders to strategically approach situations from a people-centric viewpoint to find solutions as well as implement the necessary changes.

According to Kylie, what sets her apart from the rest is her decade-long experience in transforming strategic plans into feasible solutions and supporting high performance and financial sustainability by benchmarking key operational goals. It is her passion and commitment to her work that encourages clients to keep coming back to her. In a heartfelt testimonial to Kylie’s great work, Natalie Jenkins, an executive manager, says, “Kylie is agile, versatile, and adapts to her professional environment, and this has been why I continue to work with and recommend Kylie as I move throughout my career.”

Diverse and Inclusive

Kylie is a strategist with vast experience in broad-based executive management and leadership development in the non-profit and public sectors. Post the pandemic, the workforce has experienced dynamic changes with many businesses closing. This has brought about a need for a greater purpose, workplace inclusion, and flexibility. This scenario fueled Kylie’s passion to see a more diverse and inclusive workplace, one that makes everyone feel like they belong. Besides, she also sits on multiple panels and is a regular keynote speaker, sharing her message of proactively building and embracing diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Kylie believes that a deep understanding of people and a change in mindset is key to enabling inclusivity. To champion this change, her leadership coaching program adopts a strengths-based approach to developing core leadership skills, with a focus on shifting mindset. Kylie aims at developing leaders and working on them in areas including emotional intelligence and building resilience, managing performance, and mastering coaching conversations.

Personalized Touch

Identifying the obstacles to growth is the first step to bringing the change and subsequent implementation. All the pieces of a business require the guidance of an expert to enable strength, efficiency, alignment, and success. Kylie has been at the helm of affairs for many ventures who have sought her services to excel. With her company, she offers extensive knowledge and a proven track record of helping businesses eliminate the barriers to growth and transformation by eliminating operational inefficiencies.

Kylie has worked her way up and made a mark for herself in the coaching world. Her path was not filled with roses, but she had a dream and gave it wings. To the women out there who are trying to make it on their own, she has one thing to say – believe in yourself. “Many women that I have coached in the past lack confidence and feel they are not good enough. We are all unique and have something brilliant to offer. You need to realize your strengths, and maybe that could turn your small business into something big. I didn’t have a security net when I started off. I jumped off the cliff and learned how to fly on the way down; that is how things work. Just keep at it,” said Kylie
