While starting the business might be the most vital step towards realizing your dream, marketing your products and brand is critical to make it thrive and succeed. In this era of digital technology, businesses need to up their selling game and think of innovative, out-of-the-box ways to constantly improve their creative marketing strategies. It is true that the number game in businesses still holds importance, but the ever-growing competitive environment calls for conjuring up creative ideas to sell and make your brand successful. Miranda Calatrello, a marketing consultant and founder of Calatrello Creatives LLC, is passionate about helping business owners grow their sales through creative marketing strategies and effective planning.
Early Life
After graduating from the University of Alabama, Miranda, with a penchant for marketing and hospitality, worked at Callaway Resort and Gardens as the Digital Marketing Manager outside of Atlanta. While she was honing her skills and witnessing the impact marketing had on the community through promotions, event activation, and more, the pandemic hit and threw the hospitality industry off track. Although Miranda, too, faced the brunt because the resort she was working in shut down for a couple of months, she utilized the time to introspect and finally work on her dream of starting her own business that she had been nurturing for some time. She continued working part-time for the resort and took on social media clients after hours. With word-of-mouth publicity, Miranda garnered more and more small businesses as her clients, giving her the courage to take that leap of faith toward entrepreneurship.
Creative State of Mind
Miranda has a rich industry experience in strategy and business development across all marketing sectors, with a specialty in email marketing funnels and social media management. This background fueled her desire and gave wings to Calatrello Creatives LLC, a full-service social media agency with a mission to help small businesses grow by leveraging the use of social media. Her highly trained and dedicated team customizes packages catered to the needs of the clients and works on their social media management, as well as provides an integrated marketing approach by consulting on email marketing, a website search, digital ads management, graphic design, and much more.
What sets the company apart is that it is results-driven at the core and works to combine diverse expertise to create a singular and holistic digital marketing strategy. “We believe that there is not a one-size-fits-all model to social media. When it comes to working with small businesses, a customized approach is the most impactful approach as it allows us to shift our strategies in real-time based on the needs of the business,” said Miranda.
Clear communication and impactful strategies are the pillars on which she rests her coaching plan to help the clients create a symbiotic relationship between what the brand wants to say and what the audience wants to hear. The team also works on their skill sets to stay on top of their game as the digital marketing space is more dynamic than ever now. The pandemic saw "word-of-mouth" take a backseat, and many businesses turned to digital media for the very first time, letting the company help such ventures be “seen and heard” on social media.
Learning Curve
Like any other entrepreneur, especially a woman, Miranda went through her fair share of crests and troughs that shaped her into the businesswoman she is today. From learning how to write her first contract to hiring and managing team members, the challenges honed her skills as a leader and helped her make a mark in the industry through sheer hard work and determination. The brightest example of her sincere efforts is the fact that the resort she used to work in has been her client ever since she left the job.
Miranda also advocates for a balanced social approach and urges businesses not to go down the comparison tunnel, which social media brings in, and believes in the power of mindful content. For businesswomen who are starting out, she stresses seeking help when needed. “Lean into your network. At the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey, I saw every other agency as a competition and did not reach out due to the fear of rejection. As a matter of fact, some of my best and longest-standing business connections have come from other like-minded owners who have truly helped me elevate my business to where it is today. So, do not hesitate to reach out and make more and more connections within your community,” said Miranda.
