She’s Possible

We often see various discussions and conversations happening around female empowerment. Many people try new ways to acknowledge the efforts and honor women to mark the celebration of Women’s History Month. Like every year, WomELLE celebrated the accomplishments of women with its initiative ‘She’s Possible’. Celebrating the iconic women and their contribution, WomELLE organized a panel discussion on 30 th March 2022. The panel discussion was attended by powerful women creating history in their diverse fields.

The panelists included Natalie Ruiz - CEO of AnswerConnect, Linette Montae - Founder of Linette Montae International, Kenyana David - Founder of 81Eighteen, Andrea Quinn - Certified Life and Business Coach, Cathleen Beerkens - Founder of A Wellness Revolution, Dr. Priscilla Kucer - CEO & Founder of Priscilla Kucer Consulting Solutions LLC, Alyse V. Maslonik - CEO of RedefinED Advisors LLC, Simone Craig - Financial Expert & Capital Building Strategist, and Naghilia Desravines – Founder of WomELLE, Corp., Margo Lovett – Founder of Go Beyond The Interview, moderated the discussion.

She’s Possible: Panel Discussion

The whole discussion aimed to understand females’ perspectives and how we can empower one another. The discussion even revolved around how we need to change the narrative and uplift one another.

Perspectives on Women Uplifting One Another

There is nothing more toxic than fake friendships and fake support. Times are changing, and we need to change this narrative too. We start building a more supportive space where we uplift one another. Natalie Ruiz felt the importance of changing the perspective and mentioned, “We help each other, we all succeed.” In contrast, Linette had some different views on the concern. She felt that we could not uplift any individual when we couldn’t help ourselves. This is indeed a reality. However, it shouldn’t stop us from bringing change to society.

Talking about this concern, Alyse mentioned that one person has the potential to help many others. She said,

“When you’re drowning, the only thought that I have in mind is if I could help someone. That’s because my one help can save many others.”   -Alyse V. Maslonik

Keep Asking Questions

Dr. Priscilla mentioned that we often hesitate in asking questions. However, she said we should consider asking for help in the form of questions. On the contrary, you should be ready for the answers. A lot of the time, people provide misleading information that can harm you.

“You can do it yourself. But, you don’t always have to do it by yourself. You can ask someone who can do it better than you. Consider asking for help.”  - Simone Craig

Women have the opportunity to change

Times are changing, and today, we see many female entrepreneurs making their way into male-dominated industries. Andrea Quinn even mentioned, “We are divine creators who have the ability to create. Women are the ones who create divine doers, and female creativity is our divine power.”

Feminine Power and Energy

Margo questioned the panelists that when we release our feminine power, should we be selective? Kenyana mentioned that Energy is everything to her and she enjoys being transparent. However, we should appreciate each other’s energy and be willing to accept it without any judgments. She further mentioned, “Energy is subjective and different every day. If a woman is not ready, allow her some time until she reciprocates it.”

“Consider it as a cooperation, not a competition.” - Cathleen Beerkens

Stop Judging

Naghilia strongly felt that it’s time we stop judging each other and should instead step ahead to help each other. Natalie also thought that it was necessary to be heard and cared for. She mentioned, “I see myself as a flash. If I can light the path for someone, I’d definitely do that.”

“Stop trying to be the superwoman you see on TV. Stop making yourself feel terrible about the things you haven’t accomplished.” - Dr. Priscilla Kucer

Priscilla feels that we often try to rush after seeing someone’s progress. However, it is necessary to understand that things may take time for you, and we should give ourselves that time and space. Simone also mentions that we should take a humble approach. She said, “We shouldn’t limit ourselves. We should be true to ourselves and move ahead with a humble approach.”

Empower each other

Andrea feels that we should permit other women to be themselves. We shouldn’t force any kind of thoughts and ideologies. Instead, we should support and empower each other to be our greatest selves. Kenyana also believes that we should move ahead with a growth mindset. If one doesn’t know anything, we should help them learn and grow.

Cathleen believes that we can only believe in change through the process of grounding. We all have the Energy and power to change someone’s life. We can together make it happen, and change the narratives to ensure She’s Possible.
