Nicole Zimmermann 's career began at T-Mobile in Europe, where she worked in the telecommunications industry. After gaining valuable experience in communication, customer experience, and digital change, she had the opportunity to switch industries and lead the European marketing team for Western Union a remittance money transfer and payments provider. She enjoyed learning about customer relationships in the financial services industry and how they differed from the telecommunications industry.   

After 25 years in the telecommunications and financial services industry, Nicole felt it was time to spread her knowledge and skillset across more companies and individuals. She decided to move on from her corporate career and start her entrepreneurial journey by setting up her own consulting firm, ZELOCIN™ & Partners LLC, at the end of 2020.

It's so enriching and you can learn a lot that will help you build your growth path and define your personal development areas for a successful career journey." Misunderstandings can easily arise, so it's important to clarify things by asking follow-up questions.   

Nicole also emphasizes the importance of resilience in pursuing a career. She advises not to be deterred by setbacks and to keep one's eyes on the end goal. “It is not a straightforward path and journey; it is for no one,” says Nicole. Additionally, she stresses the importance of self-reflection and trusting oneself. “So, I think resilience, self-reflection, and trusting yourself by building confidence are the three traits that I think will set you up for a motivated and positive but also successful career.” By reflecting on situations and interactions, one can build confidence and make changes for the better.
