At WomELLE, we come across different women striving to achieve their goals and lead the world. We celebrate the experiences and desires that these fierce ladies have. Hundreds of years ago, women had limited access and were deprived of their fundamental rights. Women didn’t have the right to speak; they were not allowed to cast a vote, were not allowed to leave their husbands, and were restricted in various ways. Many women didn’t even have careers and were confined to stay inside only. However, the norms and patriarchies of society are changing. Today, women fight every obstacle and make their way to lead society.
We have so many women leaders running the whole country and so many influential female entrepreneurs running the business single-handedly. The definition of womanhood and being a woman has undoubtedly changed over the past few years. It is exciting to see women facing all the struggles and progressing to find their way. We can’t say that women have achieved the same status as men in society. However, they are still fighting and exploring the fields that males primarily dominate.
They are entering different fields such as space, technology, medical science, and more. There has always been a specific notion of how females should behave, sit, talk, and act. The battles are raging, and we can see the wave of women's empowerment. We can see women also spreading messages about body positivity and color.
To be a woman is no longer about being genitals and choosing feminine roles. There is a need to think beyond and choose different aspects that help you make progress.
To be a woman is to be yourself unapologetically
Gone are the days when women used to be shy and feel restricted about their roles. It is time to fight for your rights and be specific about your requirements. You don’t have to be apologetic for expressing yourself and sharing your ideas. Instead, you should push yourself each day and aim to find your voice. Society has always made it difficult for women to survive and asked them to shatter their voices. However, it is time to change the notion and raise your voice for the right. We have seen so many cases of domestic violence and women who experience such challenges daily. It is essential to understand your rights and ensure that you have your own identity.
I am not Someone’s Sister, Mother, Wife, or Daughter: I am Someone, all on my own.
To be a woman is to find your own identity and fight for your rights. Don’t let anyone lower your self-esteem. You have the power to decide and control the action of other people. Therefore, you should be specific about what others say and how they can affect you.
All women are unique, and that’s the beauty of it
It is not just about women, but every individual is different. Everyone has additional capabilities and qualities that make them unique and wonderful. You don’t have to restrict yourself to how society thinks. Many times, we think about society’s judgments and opinions before making a move. For instance, many women undergo cruel treatment in society because of their body shape and color. This even impacts the confidence level and hinders them from taking a step ahead. Therefore, it is necessary to appreciate every woman and understand their perspectives.
To be a woman is no less than a man
Every woman has qualities and capabilities that make them equal to and even better than males in society. We have seen how women leaders are always ready for inspiring and progressive changes in society. Therefore, it is necessary to understand your own self and make the right decisions. We know how men still dominate some sections of society. But, that doesn’t mean that you will not take a step ahead. You need to push the cultural and other boundaries to achieve the spot you want to.
To be a woman is about strength and mutual support
Sometimes, it can be highly challenging for women to fight for their rights. There are societies and groups that might restrict you from achieving your goals. Therefore, women must support one another and provide the same strength to each other. Surround yourself with women who provide you with an unwavering level of support and guidance and help achieve women's empowerment.

Both men and women face different challenges in society. Women have always shown extreme determination to ensure that they get the same status in society. To be a woman is to understand that you can achieve anything and everything. Therefore, be focused on your goals and keep fighting for your rights. Support other women and build an empire together.
