A senior leadership position in an organization comes with unique challenges that can be tough to navigate. Some of these obstacles stem from aspects like effectively managing direct reports, the inability to handle multiple conflicting responsibilities, or the ultimate aim to keep growing within an organization. Identifying behavioral issues that naturally occur in people in leadership ranks and working through those barriers can be daunting. No matter how well-trained you are, very few can sustain their performance on their own. This is where executive coaches can help leaders navigate the roadblocks besides developing a more accurate perspective to gain success within an organization. Kathy Krul-Manor, Executive Leadership Coach, Advisor, and founder of KKM Leadership, has been building high-performing diverse teams and proactively driving projects towards successful outcomes.
Personal Life
A resident of San Diego, Kathy holds a master's degree in Human Resource Management from Sheridan College. Advising global and Fortune 500 organizations and their leaders, Kathy has been working as a talent and performance management consultant for more than two decades. Kathy worked with Deloitte for 14 years, where she specialized in individual, team, and organizational performance. Alongside, she has worked on enhancing the skills of senior leaders to bring about people-centered change, align workforce practices with strategic business priorities, and increase the value created by human capital initiatives.
Kathy's career spans across various industries, including technology, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and professional services. She is skilled at forging key stakeholder relationships and navigating complex organizational environments with demonstrated success working across cultures, time zones, and virtual teams. Additionally, Kathy is a Certified Executive Coach, SHRM-SCP, and Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR). She is also a Certified Emotional Intelligence Practitioner and has also trained in Strategic Workforce Planning.
Kathy really resonated with the mindset and the drive of being an HR generalist during the early days of her career. After a few years of working in corporate America, she decided to flex her consulting muscles and take a leap of faith into entrepreneurship.
Bringing Out the Best
The challenges leaders face these days are complex, dynamic, and elusive. An organization is only as successful as its leaders, company culture, and human capital framework. Executive coaching is an asset that any venture can benefit from through seamless progress. With this intent, Kathy founded KKM Leadership, LLC, in 2020, a one-stop shop for all coaching and consulting engagements. Her company empowers clients to reflect on their impact on others, their strengths and to consider new perspectives as they work towards personal and professional goals. As a senior human resource executive herself, Kathy partners with corporate clients to develop sustainable HR frameworks across the entire talent experience lifecycle, including performance management, succession planning, organization design/development, leadership development, and culture and engagement.
In keeping with the global workspace, it is imperative for companies to create a culture where diversity is encouraged. Kathy's mission is to work towards developing leadership skills along with cultivating an inclusive work culture. Whether it is priming the company for new levels of organizational success or transforming the talent management process to increase the competitive edge as a leader, KKM acts as an accountability partner throughout the client's growth journey.

Human Capital Consulting
According to a survey, Fortune 500 companies spend more than $1 billion annually on executive coaching. It has been observed that professional coaching works and results in improved decision-making, team building, and communication skills. KKM Leadership specializes in coaching for all levels of executives, business owners, and current and future leaders. Kathy has been working remotely for 12 years, and with COVID-19 confining work life to the four walls, she understood the challenges that came along. People felt isolated, unhappy, and stressed, and Kathy wanted to correct that and help leaders manage through this hybrid scenario via her coaching tools. Whether it is a new leadership role, taking on additional teams and/or responsibilities, or encountering challenges that make you feel helpless, Kathy ensures her team partners with the clients at every step of the way.
Know Your Value
Going ahead, Kathy wants to promote her work and get more organizations under the umbrella of coaching to enhance their human capital. Her mantra is simple: If you want something, you must keep at it and not give up. "It is very important to know your worth. Once you get to know yourself and bring your true self to work and life, things start falling in place. It is alright to be vulnerable. Find someone who can support you and help you keep your dreams alive. Seek help from people who can take you from point A to point B. Always remember that you are not alone and ensure you have the right environment to bring out the best in you," Kathy said while speaking with WomLEAD Magazine.
